Volleyball Gives Back
On October 8th, our amazing GlenOak Volleyball team, alongside their families, hosted Volley for a Cure in collaboration with the Green Bulldogs. It was a powerful night where we not only celebrated volleyball but also honored cancer fighters and survivors in our community.
During the event, our athletes took the time to recognize their loved ones:
- Dominique Jackson honored her mom, DaNay Jackson, and grandma, Diane Thomas.
- Molly Sevin honored her great aunt, Laura Keefe.
- Zoey Welch honored her grandparents, Lee & Bonnie Hawk.
- Lydia Suba honored her aunt, Amie Baringer.
- Madelynn Potter honored her grandpa, Gene Snyder, and grandma, Sharon Carlson.
- Veronica Larson honored her family friend, Gene Wheeler.
- Mya Smith honored her family friend, Anjanette Zampino.
- Olivia Renicker honored her family friend, Stefanie Cindric.
- Alayna Linquist honored her grandma, Mo Linquist, and great aunt, Carol Sutek.
- Mackenzie Ging honored her mom, Monica Wojcik.
- Sydney Stepanovich honored her mom, Heather Stepanovich.
- Coach Mo honored her son, Blake Michel.
- Head Coach Sydney Laney honored her mom, Bridey Mast.
The night's proceeds will be donated to the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation, a local nonprofit supporting Ohio women and families affected by breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who joined us in this meaningful event. Together, we’re making a difference! Go Eagles!
