Class of 2026

We're excited to guide you through your senior year journey at GlenOak High School. Below are important dates and reminders to help you navigate this memorable year:

Senior Picture Headshots:

  • Dates and Times:
    • Monday, July 28: 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Tuesday-Thursday, July 29-31: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Friday, August 1: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Prestige Portraits will email families in June to schedule senior portrait times.
  • Senior headshots are free of charge; optional photo packages are available for purchase.
  • This is the only picture the GlenOak yearbook accepts and is also used for many district publications. We encourage all seniors to sign up for a picture.

Graduation Photos Lifetouch Information

Lifetouch will photograph the GlenOak High School graduation ceremony. Families received an email from Lifetouch with more information.

After graduation, photos will be available within 2 to 3 business days. Families will receive a text notification when images are ready to view and order; to get started, text 327884GY26 to 90738 or visit my.photoday.com and enter your phone number and access code. 

Mandatory Senior Class Meeting:

  • Date and Time: March 18, 2026, 9:00 am
  • Location: GlenOak High School Theater
  • Overview of graduation timeline and important information.
  • Cap and gown distribution after the meeting.
  • If you haven’t ordered your cap and gown, do so ASAP through Jostens.
  • If you’re reusing a cap and gown, contact Jostens at 330-877-4700 to purchase just the tassel.

Class of 2026 Graduation Details: 

  • WHEN: May 26, 2026, at 7:00 pm (Graduates to report to the gym by 5:45 pm for lineup)
  • Rain Dates: May 27, May 29, and June 1 at 7:00 PM.
  • WHERE: Bob Commings Field, GlenOak High School
     

Rehearsal:

  • Attendance at the mandatory rehearsal is required for all students.
  • Rehearsal will be held on the morning of graduation (5/26/26) at 7:45 am (weather permitting). 
  • Updates will be communicated via ParentSquare.
  • Students should park in the student lot and enter through the gym doors near the practice football field (not through Door 17).

Diplomas: 

  • Diplomas will be distributed immediately following the ceremony in the gym. 
  • Graduates must settle all fees and fines by the date of graduation to receive their diploma. 
  • Fees can be paid through PaySchoolsCentral or by contacting the Financial Office at GlenOak High School.

Tickets & Seating:

  • Each graduate can pick up 10 general admission tickets starting on May 7 from all academy offices.
  • Students must complete the senior survey on Schoolinks to obtain tickets.
  • Handicap parking and seating will be available both in the stands and on the field.
     

Important Notes: 

  • Stadium doors open at 5:30 pm; the ceremony begins at 7:00 pm. 
  • For safety, pointed/stiletto heels are prohibited on the turf. 
  • Any senior not planning to participate in the ceremony must contact their principal or guidance counselor. 
  • Caps and gowns must be ordered by contacting Jostens.
  • Yard Signs: Class of 2026 yard signs will be distributed at GlenOak High School starting on May 7, 2026 available for pick-up on the cafeteria. 
  • Pictures: Professional photos will be taken by Lifetouch and available for purchase.

 

Additional Important End-of-Year Dates and Reminders: 

Below are important dates and events for members of the Class of 2026 as they prepare for graduation. Seniors and families should review these dates carefully and plan accordingly.

March 19 – May 8
Students should submit their Military, College, or Career Signing Day information to be shared on social media and our website by emailing Mrs. Zurbuch in the Guidance Office at zurbuchk@plainlocal.org. Please include a senior photo, the name of the college, military branch, or employer you will be joining, and your intended major, position, or area of study. Students may also include any scholarships received from the college they plan to attend, including the scholarship name and award amount (optional).

April 6 – April 17
Prom tickets on sale. Seating forms must be submitted by April 24.

May 2
Prom at La Pizzaria. Doors open at 5:30 PM and will close promptly at 6:00 PM. Late entry will not be permitted. The event will conclude at 10:00 PM.

May 8
Last day for seniors. All coursework, including online assignments, must be completed. Late work will not be accepted.

May 8
Senior Picnic from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM outside the D Wing during lunch periods. 

May 14
Senior Academic Awards Night at 6:30 PM. Students selected for recognition will receive a personal invitation.

May 21
Senior Walk. Seniors should report to the theater at 8:30 AM. Buses will depart at 8:50 AM.

May 26
Senior Sunrise at the stadium at 7:00 AM.

May 26
Mandatory graduation rehearsal at 7:45 AM.

May 26
Graduation Ceremony at 7:00 PM at Bob Commings Field. Graduates must report to the gym at 5:45 PM. Rain dates for graduation are May 27, May 29, and June 1 at 7:00 PM. Any updates for graduation will be shared with parents and students in ParentSquare.
